One District, One Community, One School System

Moultonborough is a community that values education and its local public schools. It is a community that desires the best for all students and has high expectations for those who serve the community's children. Through this website learn more about the multiple facets of education within the District—academically, athletically, artistically, and socially.

Moultonborough School District provides preK - 12th grade education to residents of Moultonborough. It grew from a kindergarten through 6th grade system to a K-12 SAU in 1980. In 2018 the district created a middle level (Grades 5-8).  The district is comprised of 2 buildings and 3 schools. Our community continues to provide Moultonborough students with a comprehensive education, including college prep and/or career ready academics, technology school opportunities, art, music, physical education, world languages, a variety of electives, co-curricular activities, and sports teams for every season.

School Plan 2020-2021

The Moultonborough School District offers families and students a choice between in-person instruction 5 days a week in our school buildings or remote learning.

Safety of our students, staff, and community is important.  All students, employees, and visitors are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing of 6-feet.

Information about our remote learning division can be found here.

School Meals Announcement

The district is offering complimentary breakfast and lunch for all children 18 years and younger. (Courtesy of a USDA grant to provide relief during COVID-19.) When session in the buildings, students participating in in-school learning may utilize this during morning break and lunch.

Students in remote learning may utilize Curb-Side Pickup at the backdoor of the cafeteria located at Moultonborough Academy. We ask that you send an email at least 2 days in advance to meals@sau45.org to let us know if you would like the curbside pickup. Curb-Side Pickup also applies to homeschooled children, siblings not yet enrolled in school, and any child that is 18 years and younger.
The more residents 18 and under that participate in the breakfast and lunch program, the more grant funding the district receives. We encourage any Moultonborough resident who is 18 years and younger to get these complimentary meals

COVID Communication

We ask that if families have a student that tests positive for COVID-19 they reach out to the school nurse with that information as soon as possible.
