Superintendent of Schools

School Administrative Unit 45

Moultonborough, New Hampshire

The Moultonborough School District (SAU #45) is seeking a Superintendent for their dynamic, innovative, and collaborative schools. The Moultonborough School District is located within a small rural community in north central New Hampshire. Connecting Squam Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee, this historic town, with a myriad of cultural and recreational opportunities, sees their schools as the center of their community and demonstrates a real commitment to quality education for the whole child.

The Mission of MSD, “to prepare and empower each student to shape his or her future with knowledge, attitude and skills necessary to thrive in a changing world” is evidenced by the focus on personalized learning, positive school climate, and effective teachers and administrators.

SAU #45, one of the premier school districts in New Hampshire, is comprised of a two-school campus. Moultonborough Central School (MCS), 250 students in grades PreK-6, houses two Pre-Kindergarten classes and approximately two classes at each grade level. Moultonborough Academy (MA) 7-12 also has approximately 250 students and provides an expansive course of studies with a rich and diverse offering of programs. MA has a rigorous program of eight 45-minute blocks, arranged in single, double, and interdisciplinary blocks each day and has a graduation requirement of 23.5 credits. MA students excel—receiving recognition in the US News and World Report, National Latin Achievement Award, as well as numerous individual student accomplishments.

After six yearsSuperintendent Susan Noyes is retiring, and this highly supported, resource rich district is looking for a new Superintendent who will take the helm of this dynamic and independent school district. The Moultonborough community seeks a collaborative leader who respects and utilizes innovation and creativity to develop a safe, encouraging, and respectful learning environment for their children, their staff, their administrators and their community members.

Start Date: July 1, 2018 Experienced school district leaders are encouraged to apply.
