Please be aware that the COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving event.
Moultonborough School District's response changes to meet the rapidly changing circumstances.  Please check this website daily for any news or adjustments.
Thank you.
For more information, please see Distance Learning page.

All athletic and co-curricular activities are canceled for the duration of the closure.

As we continue our efforts to support our students and our community through these trying times, we would like to take the opportunity to remind you that applications for meal benefit assistance (free & reduced priced school meals) are accepted throughout the year, and that our office continues to accept and process new applications.

If you have experienced a layoff, loss of employment or even simply a reduction in hours due to the COVID-19 crisis, you may now qualify for meal benefit assistance from USDA.

More information on how to apply for meal benefit assistance can be found on the Distance Learning page devoted to School Meals or by clicking here for English and here for Spanish.

REMEMBER, Moultonborough School District food is providing free bagged meals (breakfasts and lunches) for a three and two day time period. Meals are available for pick up Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 8-11 at the Academy back kitchen doors. Please email by 7 PM Sunday (for Monday pickup) & Wednesday (for Thursday pick up). Include in the email with the child’s name and if we need to be aware of any allergies. Please feel free to ask any questions thru this email also and we will do our best to get you answers.

From Patrick Andrew, Superintendent of Schools

The Governor recently extended school closures in the state of New Hampshire through the 4th of May 2020.  We will continue our distance learning plans to support student learning at home during this closure.

I would like to thank the faculty, staff and administration for their work in supporting students remotely. Please be patient as we work through the many challenges of this new model. We are learning as we go. As we learn, we will be making adjustments to school schedules and school activities over the coming weeks.

While week one went exceptionally well, we realize that an additional month of distance learning comes with challenges. There are plans in the works to support additional programing to keep minds fresh and students engaged. We are hoping to include activities such as virtual field trips, Forest Fridays, and special theme days such as Earth Day to keep staff and student engagement high.

Expect to see updates to school schedules and activities from your child’s principal in the coming weeks.

Thank you for all you are doing to support your child’s learning from home. We know this is a difficult time and we are doing our best to support learning remotely.

Please be sure to visit the Distance Learning section of our website often for more information:

March 18, 2020

From: Jonathan W. Tolman, School Board Chair

Good afternoon all,

We are in unprecedented times and certainly unchartered waters. As you all know by now, the Governor has closed all public schools throughout the state and mandated that we go to “Distance Learning”.  Superintendent Andrew has been on top of the situation even before this was official, working with our excellent administration and staff to prepare a plan for this new experience.  He is in almost daily contact with me and your School Board has been getting updates as the situation unfolds. I cannot say enough how proud the School Board is of Mr. Andrew, our administration and every employee of the district who are stepping up to the plate in these stressful times to provide as much support as they can to our students!

Welcome to our School District website.

We hope that as you visit our site, you will get a snapshot of all that goes on in our District and in our schools: Moultonborough Central School and Moultonborough Academy. Our purpose here is to share the multiple facets of education within the District—academically, athletically, artistically, and socially.

Moultonborough School District grew from a kindergarten through 6th grade system to a K-12 SAU in 1980. For the past 38 years, our community has provided Moultonborough students with a comprehensive education including college prep and/or career ready academics, technology school opportunities, art, music, physical education, foreign languages, a variety of electives, co-curricular activities, and sports teams for every season.

Moultonborough is a community that values education and its local public schools. It is a community that desires the best for all students and has high expectations for those who serve the community's children.
